# Windows

Get Cntrl Bridge running on your Windows PC.

## Installation

### Download

Download one of the Windows installers from the [GitHub Releases](https://github.com/azaek/cntrl/releases):

- **NSIS Installer**: `Cntrl Bridge_vX.X.X_x64-setup.exe`

The installer will:

- Install the application to your Program Files
- Create a default configuration file
- Add a Windows Firewall rule automatically

### Run the Installer The installer will set up everything automatically with sensible defaults:

- **Port**: `9990`
- **Enabled Features**: System Info, Usage Data, Stream, Media Controls, Processes, Autostart
- **Power Management**: Sleep and Hibernate enabled, Shutdown/Restart disabled for safety

### Launch

Once installed, Cntrl Bridge will appear in your system tray as a tray-only app (no taskbar icon). Look for the grey icon!

Click the tray icon to open the dashboard and configure settings.

## Configure Settings

After installation, click the tray icon to open the dashboard where you can:

- Change the server port
- Enable/disable features
- Configure autostart
- Enable power management options (Shutdown, Restart)
- Open the configuration file location

All settings are saved to `%APPDATA%\com.azaek.cntrl-bridge\config.json`

## Verify It's Working

Open your browser and go to:

```
http://localhost:9990/api/status
```

You should see `{"status":"ok"}`.
